Gary Mabie
Chief Operating Officer
Gary Mabie joined the Company as Chief Operating Officer in February of 2010. He comes to Milagro from GM Oil & Gas Company, an industry provider of consulting services. Mr. Mabie served as Vice President of Operations at Comet Ridge Resources from 2006 to 2009. Prior to Comet Ridge Resources, he served as President of CDX West, a subsidiary of CDX Gas, LLC from 2005 to 2006. From 2001 to 2005, Mr. Mabie served as President and Chief Operating Officer at SunCoast Energy Corporation. He was General Manager/SVP Onshore of Pennzoil/PennzEnergy in Houston from 1997 to 1999.
Mr. Mabie began his career as a Petroleum Engineer with Gulf Oil Corporation. He later served in management/executive positions at Tenneco Oil Company and Hunt Petroleum Corporation. A graduate of Texas A&M University, Mr. Mabie earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Petroleum Engineering. He has previously served on the Industry Advisory Board for the Petroleum Engineering Department at Texas A&M University. He also served as a board member for Louisiana Independent Oil and Gas Association. Mr. Mabie is currently a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, American Association of Drilling Engineers, and Colorado Oil & Gas Association.
